Introductions - Thanks for being here

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Greetings to all!! I found this nifty group quite by mistake, I was looking for cycling cloths that would fit me, and I came across several links to Bike Forums.
I am fairly new to cycling and have found that I truly enjoy it. I started because I wanted to lose weight, but I found that I really enjoy finding new places in my area to explore and discover that can only be reached by bike. Madison has many trails and each leads to a new experience.
Glad to be apart of this unique forum!!

Hey Brad, welcome to the Forums!
Cycling is a great way to lose weight and get in shape.
I was up to about 265 - 270 ! Yikes. I was into cycling, but took a hiatus due to a busy work schedule. When I could no longer fit into my 40 in pants, I decided to get back on the bike.
I'm down to about 220 lbs and looking to make it to sub 200! There are a ton of other cyclist here who've lost a lot of weight as well. Sharing in your successes can be inspiring to keep going!
Good Luck & L8R

Thanks L8R,
I found that the more I ride the better I feel and the better I get. I laughed when I saw that you were up to 270. I just got down to 270!! And I too am on my way to a much lower weight.
The other thing I noticed this summer is that I've got more miles on my bike now than I do my car. Have to love that.
Ride on and have fun
