I have tried to look up "matsuri" via google and got no information about my bike(rain day commuter). Does anyone have any information about it. The information I have is: My wife recived it as gift in approx. 1985 from her brother who was stationed overseas w/navy. It was orginaly 10 speed, has a tag saying "made in Japan" and Suntour componets. I have this bike to thank for returning to cycling. I rode it two weeks to work looking for anyone who wanted take it home. I gave up and upgraded it to commuter. It is currently is set up w/knobbys 27x1.25 for rain days, and snow days not worthy of using Mt. bike.

My wife has one she bought new in about 1978 or so. It's *very* heavy, not much alloy, but seems to be tough as nails. SunTour gearchange with Dia Compe brakes. I've never seen another one, and like you, couldn't find anything on the web (other than the fact that "Matsuri" is the Japanese word for "Festival"). Sorry I can't help more, but that's all I know! ;-)
