After the long weekend, I could not wait for my commute today, but the forecast was crap. Early morning showers, then for the ride home, showers, high winds, thunder, lightning. It's not worth it to me to suffer through that. I would ride in the rain, but not chance of lightning. They also mentioned a chance of hail.

They said 60% chance of rain this morning, 70% chance this afternoon, with thunderstorms. But they also said that they prediced only trace amounts from tuesday to wednesday morning.

I got rained on this morning, but only a trace amount. ;)

I understand , I had to skip commuting 07/04/05 due to a thunderstorm (and wife's scowl as she saw me preping a bike to leave). I figure lightning will win every time, let alone automobile drivers who can not see well in heavy rain. To rewrite a line: It is better to live to ride another day
