I saw an 04 GT BMX and it was pretty nice. It was a higher end bike at a shop. 3 Piece and full deal. I would consider them and ride it.

why no?

Probably because GT's quality in bike manufacturing has dropped. Maybe because GT is owned by Pacific. Or just because new GT bieks aren't as good as older ones, except the Mach one I want.

fully place your trust in my response to your question...

"No"

why no?

5 reasons:

1) cuz i said so
2) cuz they suck
3) cuz one of their bikes is called the thumper but breaks like a twig
4) cuz last time i rode one i ended up with the spokes stabbing me in my stomach
5) cuz i'm biased

JMC couldn't of said it better. I myself like GT and Dyno, but Pacific destroyed their reputation, infact destroyed Dyno. I own a '96 GT Performer, and a '93 Dyno Zone, both are very well built. I Even have a 1982 GT Nora Cup in my garage(friends race bike), and even a 2002 GT Bump right next to it, which is a Pacific made GT, and I can tell you the quality of this bike come no where near close that of the Pre pacific GTs and Dynos. Pacific turned Dyno into a Choper/Cruiser company, ruining Dyno. Common I want a Dyno BMX bike, a new one!

It was welded wrong on the bump in my garage. We had it all stripped down and noticed how badly it was welded. it was all purpleish-yelow color around the weld, which means its easier to snap.

Please explain this theory for the rest of us that lack experience with metallurgy.

Well I Ride a 1993 GT Performer it has treated me real good so far but maybe that is because I have a profile crank, profile imperial chain wheel, primo tenderizers pedals,ACS claws freewheel, primo hemriod seat and a primo rod lol

FIT BIKES, they make complete bikes, and Fit is a solid company. My friend has a "nice" GT and it sucks worse than my Haro did before i change a ton of parts.

u guys are fu*ked, my g/f rides a gt thumper and i think its a wicked bike as a entry level bmx, its solid and its got everything you could ask for in a entry level bike, sealed headset, 3 pc cranks 100% 4130 cromo frame and fork, nice alex rims with sealed hubs (flip flop on the rear), over all its a wicked bike but its a bit on the heavy side

Just ignore fireteam back in my o9ld town GT what like the Best of the Best wich meant in my old town if you owned a GT dyno then you were the Bmx pro around there. But that a was a tiny little town where the best bikes you could get were cheap Mongoose or Next from walmart but still GT are still pretty decent bikes

I'v got much more experience with GT then you. Let me ask you this how many BMX bikes have you built? Me I've built alot. Older GTs are good bikes. Newer GTs are cheap ****.

Nearly every brand has a cheap line and a high quality line. You guys all need to get over that. It not the tool, it's the fool.
