Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - adding a link to your signature

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
How can you add a link to your signature?
never mind just figured it out

For anyone else who wanted to know its [ U R L ] at the start, and [ / U R L ] to finish it off.

Ancillary Question: How does one embed a link in some text? In a Commuting thread, I wanted to point people to a thread in Bicycle Mechanics. Thx!

Code:
[ u r l = www. yoursite. com ] My Text [ / u r l ] < take out spaces.
Should look like this...
My Text (www.yoursite.com)

It was my understanding that is not allowed by the moderators. I had a thread deleted that referenced another thread??
Testing. Testing. 1 - 2 - 3.

What signature are you trying to put in?

I put in a link going to my blog. It showed up correctly on the preview, so hopefully it just took a bit to get going and'll work this time...
There we go. Thanks for responding East Hill

Just use the http://www.bikeforums.net/images/editor/createlink.gif button. When you do so, after you type in your link, it highlights the text to be displayed in your message. Type in whatever you want and it replaces the highlighted text with whatever you want to display for your link (but only the display text, not the link), like this: Beginning Bicycle Commuting (http://beginningcyclecommute.blogspot.com/)
