the crazy little Lampre rider in the break today has a saddlebag(!?) on his bike. any ideas why? what the hell is he hauling around?

We noticed that a few T-Mobile guys had the same on their bikes. Perhaps allergy meds for severe allergies like bee stings? Never noticed them before, ever.

Actually from what i have heard he has a highly advanced propulsion system inside....
Basically the wheel then connects as part of the drivetrain and voila extra speed :D

According to Cyclingnews, the saddlebag has a transmitter which sends heartrate and power meter data back to the teamcars. Several teams are using them.
