Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Pretty cool to evaluate the aero TT positions of some of the top contenders.
Great pictures from www.grahamwatson.com
David Z - DAMN that guy is aero.
Lance
Jan - look at those freaking legs
Vino
It is a ll a function of your ability to stretch... the first photo is the real aero one... personally I can get quite close to the other 3... (now give me the legs and I will be VERY happy!)
I would really like to see aero on the road bike... that is what gets me...
For example
Or even better...
It feels like I can never get aero enough on my road bike... fit required.

Eric Dekker has a great low aero position when on the hoods riding flat out.
Johan Bruyneel said the other day that Zabriskie has the best position on a TT bike of any pro.
It may have come back to haunt him...it looks like his knee hit his elbow as he was getting back in the saddle after sprinting back onto the wheel when he fell.

zabriski definetly is the most "t-rex" looking of any of them. leaves nothing for the wind to catch. but, man is he fast!
Please excuse me for borrowing the thread, but two of the pictures above puzzles me (great pics BTW!). The one of Vinokurov clearly shows the sensor for the bike computer, and that he's also wearing a Polar Heart Rate Meter. Ullrich appears to be lacking both. Does anyone know if Jan prefers to race "by feel" where others want to check the hard facts?

Last night they said it was David Zabriskie's aero position that caused him to crash. Apparently he bumped his knee into his elbow.

Bjarne speculated that, commentators said so too... I think the replays look like it was the chain slipping...

Chain slip?
I thought he bumped the guy in front of him. Anyway, the TT bikes are skitish as hell and the 18 mm tires pumped up to 170 psi don't help......
