Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum from Greenville, SC. I have never raced, but I love being on my bike. I'm 27 and feel like a kid on my bike.

I have a mountain bike, but I don't care if I'm on a trail or the open road. Actually, I am itnerested in getting further into actual road biking, as I keep flying over my handle bars heading down the trails.

Thanks,
cowgirl

Hey cowgirl,

Where do you go riding in SC? I've got a friend real close by in Travelers Rest that heads up to Pisgah on a regular basis! I haven't seen him in a while, but we usually would meet up there when my wife and I take a long weekend trip!

Regardless, welcome (again!) to the forums and keep posting!

Oh yeah, lean back more! j/k

Welcome Cowgirl, This is a great sport and you have found a great forum. There is a lot of good info here and support from us all. Good to have you along and keep crankin out the miles. Oh, use your bike for general commuting, it adds some of the most interesting moments to your life and generates some of the best stories that we are looking forward to hearing about.

Hey thanks. We ride up in Pisgah, especially around the fish hatchery. There are also some trails past the Asheville airport.

mrfix, I would love to commute to work via two wheels instead of four, but my husband says (with a smile) that I'm too delicate, even though he's seen me land on a rock and break it.

Cowgirl, obviously your husband doesn't know you, or he doesn't ride. Go for it, show him what you're made of, then tell him what he's missing.
