It's easy to say attack, but much harder to do when you are already riding at 99% just to keep up with the Disco pace. Thats their strategy, make you ride so hard that you don't have anything left with to attack.

It's not like LA has a tow rope hooked around the boys either, every other rider in the race is in their draft too, but he is the only one with enough left to surge ahead at the ends. Ulrich, Basso, Kloden and all the other pre race GC contenders have basically sucked LA's wheel the entire time and still can't get by him.

I've read that the team tried to prevent Vino from riding in his national championships. The team sees his role as "supporting Ullrich", and thought that going home for the championships would distract him from preparing from his "worker bee" duties.
