Commuting - Commuter wheel size Poll

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

This is not a poll to advocate a certain tire size on a commuter bicycle. But rather a poll to see what size most commuters use in this forum. Thanks for your participation.

Your poll is lousy -- 20" wheels. Think of all the folder riders!

Out of curiosity, why do you think out of 20 pages of commuter bicycle pictures this is not one single picture of a folding bicycle?

Don't get me wrong Oboeguy. I love your bike. It's fabulous. But in the commuting section, hold on, I will get a link -

There, I don't see any folding bikes in these pictures. Just bikes with 26" and 700cc wheels.

LOL! It's sad that I wasn't aware there was such a thread. Stickied, too, no doubt. :crash:
That settles that. I guess I'll have to stop by that thread to represent.
Sorry for dissing your poll.

My Trek 410 main commuter bike has 27"x7/8" Avocet Time Trials in front, and Continental Ultra GatorSkins 27"x1 1/4" (more like 1.1") in back. But somedays I take my mountain bike with Hutchinson Slicks 26"x1" and Ritchey Slicks 26"x1.4" in back, especially when I am using the Bob Yak trailer for hauling stuff with one 16"x1.75" tire in back.

You have 650B as an option in your poll, but not 27"? Which seems more likely to you?
Anyway, in case you didn't guess, I run 27 x 1 1/4.

Sorry about that, I should have respected the classics. It was not intentional. Is it possible to edit a poll?
Nominal 32-559 (actual size: 29 mm) / 26x1.3 (Continental Sport Contact).
