OK... Here is how it breaks down. OLN is going to be a Lance love fest for every stage - WHY - Because OLN knows they already have the cycling community "locked in" as far as viewership goes (who has turned off the TV in the middle of a stage???). What are they looking to do???? Bring in new viewers. Who can do that??? No one but Lance! Period! End of discussion!

Maybe they will read the posts about "Lance this and Lance that" - but at 1 KM beyond the red flag, it is about ratings! I would enjoy more coverage of the other riders, but unless they are in a breakaway, Lots of luck. Be happy that we have any coverage at all.

I'll be up at 6:30am EST time to catch the lovefest tomorrow - wouldn't miss it!

This is just my take - If you want better coverage - just hope that our sport gets really popular really fast after Lance Retires - we get a whole 1 minute on ESPN as it is - and nothing else!

Love,
Me!

I wouldnt mind the lance lovefest so much if they'd just shut the hell up sometimes even for a minute or two sheesh. They have killer shots of the pack from the motorcycles and sometimes you can hear the talk in the peleton, I wish they'd let us hear more of that, you know liggett and sherwin keeping their silly traps shut for a minute so we can hear whats going on, the crosstalk in the peleton tells alot more than the BS those two guys spew all the time, even if it is in like 6 languages some days !!

musette - A lunch box that comes in a plastic bag.
It isn't plastic, but hey ...

However ... OLN seems to be another good reason for living here. ;)

I know OLN over does it - BUT. If we were watching live coverage of anyone else's attempt to win the tour a record SEVEN TIMES in a row, they would get more than their share of a mention - you all know that... He's the biggest name for everyone in all countries.
