I ate it landing a small jump (hey, I didn't see the massive pit of sugar sand, gimmie a break!) today. Just went about my ride until near the end when...I noticed something was amiss. The thumb trigger to downshift had broken off!

WTF? I take off the LX stuff that had been through dozens of crashes with nary a scratch, and one sub 10mph dump into some sand and the SRAM stuff breaks? Hopefully it was just a fluke, but geez, at least it was covered through warranty - however, I need to send it back through pricepoint.com so they can send it to SRAM.

Anyone else have any issues with the plastic part, the downshift trigger snapping off? I hadn't even put 50 miles on the things.

I broke 2 X.9 right side (rear) shifters in a 6 month span. Both of them broke at aluminum parts though, not plastic.
