The location of the incident is the confluence of two major streets (at a weird angle) and several MUPs, but it's clear that the driver blew the light.

when will drivers learn the difference between red and green? I saw a guy get tagged last week by a girl in an suv that ran a red light.

"Clausen told police he thought he had a grenn light,".
It sounds like this person does not have the necessary ability to operate a deadly piece of machinery on our roads.

A Lincoln man bicycling north on Cotner Boulevard Saturday morning was critically injured when he was struck by a a car that may have run a red light.
Stephen R. Dunn, 47, remained in critical condition Saturday night at BryanLGH Medical Center West.
He was crossing Vine Street on a bike just before 9:30 a.m. when he was struck by a westbound car driven by Robert B. Clausen, 50, Lincoln, according to a Lincoln police report.
Clausen told police he thought he had a green light, but witnesses said the car ran a red light. No citations were issued Saturday.
Dunn suffered a skull fracture among other injuries, according to the report. His bike was thrown five feet in front of the car, and he was catapulted 10 feet behind the car.
Dunn was wearing a helmet, but police weren't sure it stayed on after he was hit.
The crash closed westbound traffic on Vine Street from 66th Street to Cotner Boulevard and affected traffic at the intersection of Cotner and Vine for six hours, police said.

Too bad. Funny, I always read on here when there are bike/car accidents in places like NYC how many of you ride by the spot everyday. Well I actually do ride through here everyday. There was another bike/car accident here a couple months ago, but didn't look too bad. Going over to this guys house and spray paint his driveway red. Anyone want to join?

I think one of those roadside shrines would go well with the red paint, after all, we must feel sympathy for the driver, they may want a nice little trophy at the spot of their attempted murder. And all their friends can admire it, if I were in the area that's sure what I'd do.
