for sprocket grinds on ledges the front is usually rolling

I put my seat where I can get it with my knees and where it's comfortable to grab if I decide to throw a forward steamroller or something. Varying seat height has advantages and disadvantages based on how tall you are and how you wanna ride your bike. Your mileage may vary.

I need at least a foot of seatpost showing for riding around town. I drop it to about 4 inches off the frame when I race. Knees, gotta spare the knees.

okay, and whats an invert?

an invert is close to a table in the sense where instead of just flatting out your bike...you have to go upright in the air (this is where the invert comes in) and THEN you flatten your bike...

and yes the Primo Steriod is an almost all plastic seat and is very strong...i have the Primo Balance seat...its not plastic buts its super comfy and super strong and doest rip..


as for the seat...i run my seat SLAMMED into the seatube...but according to Brian Foster "your seat cant be more than a fist height high..." it was in Ride BMX...

sprocket slides are LIKE feebles but without the pegs...like Queens said..front wheel is rolling and sprocket/crankarm are sliding while the back wheel hangs loose...

well having your seat too far up at an angle...is bad...


story time with Kinetikbiker04: this was about 2 years ago...
"so me and my freinds were riding around the hood and we saw this really nice line...one 3 stair then a driveway then another and another...for like 5 house...thats 5 3 stairs in a row...so...i went first...(at this time i had my seat at a nasty 45 degree angle...because i had a reall messed up stock seatpost that had bad "guts" and so they slipped all the time...) so i jumped the first one, then on the second during my bunny hop down i hit the side of the sidewalk that was next to the stairs and my foot came off during the bunnyhop becasue my feet were wet and i hit that weird sidewalk thingie...so i landed almost STRAIGHT up and then at the tender age of 12 lost my virginity to my seat which was at the perfect angle to give my anal sex...and i received it..." that is when i orderd my Shadow Seatpost...that doesnt slip...
this is why you shouldnt have your seat at too much of an angle...AND why you should look at things before you pedal your balls off and jump them...

true he cant (i cant either) but even if he could it wouldnt make a difference if his seat post was up, he keeps his seat straight up enough he could clutch it between hbis legs if he wanted to

Doesn't matter about your front tire- sometimes on downhill ledges you won't even realize your tire never hit the ledge. Usually, it does roll along though.

Seat angle is all personal preference. Mess around with it a bunch until you're happy. Primo Steroid seats don't have any padding, they are mighty uncomfortable too.

I keep my seat down low so that I don't hit my nuts. Thats usually why people kepp there seats at an angle or down low.
