Hi,

I'm trying to gather some info on Douglas bicycles but there isn't much on the web. The reason I ask is because Coloradocyclist.com has a great deal on a full Ultegra Easton Al frame with Carbon fork and Velomax Circuit wheel set, carbon seat stays and post...

You get my drift. Sounds like a nice bike hugh. And all that for only $1299!

I'm concerned about the frame though. I've never heard of Douglas and not as versed in frame build and quality and what to look for.

If anyone could shed some light on this I would be thankful.

Cheers,

Sean

I saw that ad. I think it is Colorado Cyclist's own brand or exclusive through them. It's a "generic" frame meaning someone else makes it for them.
It's very similar to the Merckx Fuga in appearance.

If it were on my list, I would buy it. Nothing wrong with it and looks to be a good deal.

Thanks for the info RacerX.

I just called today and verified that it was there home brand. They didn't say who made the frame for them.

I'm bummed cause they sold out of the 53cm's yesterday. I should've been on the ball. Oh well.

It's such a good deal though. I might just buy it anyway cause all I want are the parts. So even if I spend the extra $310 for parts I'll still get a frame that I could sell for about that price.

Or maybe I'll just wait till the 2002 Zurich's go on sale. ;)

Cheers,
Sean
