Put an advert in the local paper this week to sell my Cannondale road bike. My LBS gave me a rough idea of what price to pitch at, and wow, I was actually offered more for it! :beer:
I never bought the bike as an investment but I was really surprised that it had not lost as much value as I thought it might have done. I can't say whether it's the name that sells or just the condition (it was immaculate, btw). Whatever, I can now get some seriously overdue accessories.
I think it makes the point clear, but how well you look after something ultimately influences how people respond to it. Like they say, you only have one shot to make a first impression.
