I am just getting into Mountain biking. I am going down to college, and my roomate is really into moutain biking. He spent like 2 grand for his. However, my pocket book is not as large as his, or at least his dad's. Therefore, I really only want to spend around 400-600 dollars. I have been looking at a couple of them and I found two that seemed to be pretty good bike. The first is a KHS XC 104 and the other is a Iron Horse Warrior Trail. They seemed to be around the same price, at least on the internet. If you have any comments or know more about these bikes please let me know. Thanks

I almost bought the IH Rogue off SuperGo's site this past w/e. They had them for $450 after rebates & free s/h. I paused only because I'm "I'ing" another hardtail on eBAY....

It's currently @ less than ¼ the MSRP.... and ends in less than 24 hrs.

If you're looking around $400-600, see 'the "around" $500 MTB thread' at the top of the forum.
