BMX - First time going to a skatpark and what an experience

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I've never been to a skatepark in my life. Which probably explains why I suck, and don't have alot of knowledge in alot of crap. What really sucks was, I was hitting this jump, and I got quite abit of air , then boom I hit the ground and ****ed up my crank. I striped out the left arm, but thats partially my fault, I didn't full tighten my crank. So I got stuck, riding a Huffy Girls bike for the rest of the day. :( Whats a cheap 3pc for like $50, I need something to hold me off unti lI get the money saved for soemthign better.

Not cheap for a good one. I actually have the crank in my lap. I think All that stripped is the arm, and I have a spare set of arms from my old 3pc. I might run them untilI get the money to buy agood 3pc.

So buy a replacement arm. And a spindle because you probably @!^#ed that up, too. Assuming you were smart and bought decent cranks from the start. If not, well...now's the time to save your money and get a decent set. And learn how to work on 'em.

if he has a stock crank (which he probly does) hes not going to be able to buy a replacement arm. But if he has only had his bike for a certain ammount of time its possibly that the place he bought if from might have a warranty or replace it...but just like everyone says almost every other day...SAVE UP $$$ for a nice set of Profiles or Primo cranks...

Great movies. Too bad that the whole reason for their making was to make it seem as if apartheid wasn't all that bad.

Considering that even Jim Bauer and Chris Cotsonas at Odyssey don't recommend using those cranks, I certainly wouldn't touch them.

go with profile, alot of people will tell you no to and be like "everyone else has them, dont get them", but there really good, strong, light, cranks....and thats why everyone else has them. go with profile.

Im gonn run my old arms. They're working prettygood but are really heavy. The spindle isn't stripped its the crank arm. What sucks is I spray painted them whit and they look like sh*t oh well they'l lwork.

If the arm is stripped, the spindle is damaged. You may not be able to see it, but chances are you'll just @#^$ up another arm by putting it on a messed-up spindle.

Yeah, you need a camera phone like you need ANOTHER hole in the head. Do us all a favor, and have a good long think before you post anymore.

Fit cranks are exactly the same as Primo Powerbites, except for the stamped logo and the price.
