Considering this forum's affection for Pie, I was wondering if anyone was planning on doing it. Its 51 miles (some shorter loops are offered).

I was planning on driving down from Champaign to participate, the lure of foot high pie at the end is just too much to pass up. Although, I am told the pie is actually 5 miles from the end making the last five minutes seem very rough. I was planning on doing it geared with my dad who is training for the MS 150 (or I guess it is a MS 200 this year) but have toyed with the idea of doing it fixed.

There's a similar kind of ride on Bainbridge Island near Seattle called "Bike for Pie." I didn't know that other people were doing it, too. You are talking about pie, right? As in apple, cherry, peach? Cause that's what I'm talking about.

I plan to do it on my fixie. . . and eat lots of pie.

I am a student at Eastern is there any way you would consider giving me a lift to the ride, I'll help with gas of course? I just sold my car and I don't think I can make it to St. Louis in time for the ride on my bike.
