Mountain Biking - Avoiding conflicts with my wife....

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I had to pass this on...This has been an on going "sore point" in our relationship. I want to spend my free time biking and my wife bikes with me sometimes but she can take it or leave it. I've been talking to a lot of people out there who at some point in their lives had a relationship stressed by their passion for their hobby. My brother in law told me about this website, and since I started using it she is so much happier, and I get to go ride with no guilt trips laid on me. www.mrthoughtful.com So worth it!

Personally I will save my $75 a year and use the Calander to remember important dates.

Another simple idea marketed not by me... dang it. I know a few friends that need that service. As for me, it wouldn't work for my wife. I get in the doghouse... Forget flowers, I would have to get her a gift card for fishing tackle.
Hearing how spouses or significant others gripe about cycling, makes me lucky. Not meaning to rub it in, but.... My wife just bought me a bike stand/tool kit combo. And while she was ordering, got me the Rat Fink jersey. All for my birthday.

Send me a twenty and do the following every 2 to 3 weeks.
1. Flowers
2. Special Planed Date
3. Poem
4. Cook her dinner, or do a chore that she usually does(not too often as she may pass it to you)
5. Spontaneous getting it on
6. Coupons for Back Rubs, chores, special things
7. Buy her candy
Repeat in random order, now gimmie money! :-)
