Let's hear it for American Chris Horner on Saunier Duval! He is doing very well and showing that he is one of the best in the world. I know he is going to win a stage. He has turned out to be the best rider on SDV. Oh and those Scott CR1 bikes the team rides has got to be one of the best bikes in the peloton. :)

Yeah it's nice to see him holding his own to a degree, although I think his chances of taking a stage are slowly waning. Maybe he could get in a breakaway on one of the later stages with a couple cat3s and 4s.

Remember also that he's never raced a stage race ANYWHERE near this long...

I have been impressed that he has consistently finished for SDV and seems to be the only SDV guy in a decent position.. But as Devil said he wasnt tested till yesterday and I was hoping he would be able to hang the big dawgs in the mtns... He was dropped yesterday when Popovych dropped the gammer but then everybody but for 4 dropped so its ok... His chances of a breakaway victory might be tough but lets see what he come up with..

Piepoli finished up by 6 minutes today and 2 minutes yesterday. So I don't know how that makes Horner the best of the red birds...But he is showing some very good form for his first tour.

Agreed I am speaking from my memory of the TT and that Horner consitently finished in the front of the peleton in the flats.. I noticed that Piepoli seems to be able to hang with the pack on the Mtns longer...

Piepoli has quite a few climbing crowns to his credit, including a KOM in the 95' Tour De Suisse.

Ok Ok is Walter The Walter of TMobile or not..If so hes up at around 4am on an important race day worrying about posts on Bike forums rather than sleeping or tending to his flock.. If he is The Walter G than maybe he cant sleep and is posting for some R+R and saying things to some of us here in a way that he only wishes that he could say to some of his riders..Maybe we could have a board vote on this.. Will the real Walter Godefroot please stand up..

Ok, to all those that think LA is trying to off load the Yellow Jersey, please 'splain to me why he followed Vino up to Moreau and Savoldelli up to Vino? Why didn't he let Vino go and take the jersey? If he's been saying for 2-3 days now that he wants to get rid of the jersey so bad that he's thinking about auctioning it off on ebay, why did he try to keep it today, when he had the perfect opportunity to lose it?

Poster walks away shaking head, mumbling to himself, "These guys are crazier than Rudy."

Even if waltergodefroot can speak German, he is not Walter Godefroot.

You obviously haven't been watching the same race I have. ;)

By the way, are Lance and Discovery going to try to off load the jersey for one stage again, then kill themselves trying to get it back? i still think Dario Frigo was the guy to set up for it. Then the jersey would have been kicked out of the race completely. :D

Well you better get their asses to bed and tell them no more late night parties. Maybe if they get some sleep and win you can promise them they won't have to wear those pink girlie outfits anymore.

You notice Klodi's earrings and all that gel he puts in his hair..? He loves the frilly pink stuff. ;) In fact when we first hired him the first question out of his mouth was, "I get to wear that pink kit, right?"

You are just beyond hope. All that explaining from several different people and you still don't get it.

They weren't killing themselves to get the jersey back, they were killing themselves to put time into the real contenders. (Ullrich, Vino, Basso) Voigt in the jersey finished 30 min back.
