General Cycling Discussion - Anyone use the Performance Forte Pro SLX Saddle

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
It looks like a good deal but I wan't to know if anyone here has tried this one, or a similar one. http://www.performancebike.com/product_images/400/50_2389.jpg
Or how about this one. The Performance Forte Classic Saddle

Haven't tried either one of them, but I do have the Performance Forte Team MTB saddle which looks similar. I like it and it's really light. But your butt is different than mine. With these minimalist saddles, you must wear bike shorts or bike underwear with a decent chamois.
Good thing about Performance is if you don't like the saddle (or anything they sell), they will take it back. Kind of a pain since you probably don't have one you can drive to, but better than most other shops where you're stuck with Ebaying it for pennies.
One thing with any new saddle is you have to try it for at least 5-10 rides until your butt becomes accustomed to it. Also, if it feels uncomfortable, try tilting it forward or backward and see if that helps.

I have that exact one on my mountain bike.

Would you recommend it? Even for a road bike?

Thanks. Will do.
Well I finally got it. It felt a little stiff I guess cuz it's brand new but I like that it's more narrow and allows me to keep my knees in when riding. Also I don't feel any pain or numbness in the crotch area. Right after I ordered it, it got back ordered. But I didn't cancel the order and I'm glad. I got for for 34 bucks and now they are selling it for 60 bucks. So I saved by being patient.

It's selling at $35.- (in store catalog) again as we speak. :D
Seriously, I saw another thread while back, not only 55/Rad but many people were talking highly of the saddle. I think you are going to like it.
Well I gotta say so far I have not been disappointed. I like the overall feel.
