Hello... thanks to posts I've read here I narrowed down my search for a new speed machine to either a Felt or a Jamis bike. Low end of course on my low budget and entry level ability.

Unfortunately, I could not find a dealer here that had the bikes on the floor for a look see. I happened to be in Vegas over last weekend and found a shop that carried BOTH! So... after much lamenting ... I decided on the Jamis. I liked the steel for longer rides and some upgraded components. I did however like the lightweight Felt and the racing decals etc...

SO what do you think?

Just my opinion,but the Jamis is a good choice.Good bang for the buck and hard to go wrong with steel. Enjoy!

nice to hear some reassurance.
there was a lady in the shop that morning who touted the Felts so i had some doubts.
jamis has a good warranty too.

Which Jamis? how much did you pay? I wanted a Jamis too, but it seems like no one carries them in stock.

From what I heard from the LBS around here, the owner (some lady) is a moron, and very very difficult to deal with. She's not a good businesswoman.

What is LBS??

Anyhow: I got a Ventura...one up from the bottom. Paid 840. plus 40 for shipping and probably another 25 to have it mildly assembled once it gets here.
Check out www.jamisbikes.com - i think that's their web site anyhow. they list dealers.
