I don't want to deflate your upbeatness (???) but their wheat bread is just their white bread with some coloring.

I think you are not getting a balanced survey here. Seems to me those proud of their diets will post, those not or who haven't much of a clue will not post. So, difficult to generalize, but interesting.

So, here goes (and I am not proud, and I do have a clue!).

To start the day: Did 20 mile early am ride with some hills, stopping near end for McMuffin with egg and cheese only (that means no sausage) and small OJ. (I know, I know, but I do this just once a week, and usually it is oatmeal with nuts and raisins).

Lunch: Multigrain piece of toast with raw peanut butter, some plain tuna, carrots, hard boiled egg and a peach (hey, they are getting overripe)

For dinner
Salmon, tomatoes. whole grain rice

Well gotta be honest, Thursdays are my "off" day. We have an early meeting so donuts were bought today...mmmm...donuts (I have had a mad sweet tooth for about a week, its over now...i feel lousy cause of it) .

Breakfast: Fat Free Vanilla Yogurt
2 Donuts
Lunch: Baked Whiskey Soaked Chicken (mmm)
Fresh Green Beans
Snack: 1 Donut
Dinner: Lean cut of steak
2 Eggs

Dammit I did horrible today now that I look at that. Worse than any previous thurday I think. Back on the healthy road tomorrow. I guess the donuts would explain why I feel so lousy tonight. Guess I have to up the rest of my rides this week.

Well I will throw in mine. Since my guts don’t work right I have all of these crazy food allergy’s and carbs don’t work as fuel (plus they caused the worst allergy problems till recently) so here is a typical weekday eat. My body seems to use protein more then fat. For breakfast I have 5 slices of bacon and a couple of egg. I may have some nuts too. Then when I get to work a piece of jerky and watered down tea. Lunch is usually three hamburger patties ½ a onion and maybe a pickle and some nuts. Then a snack of jerky and the ride home. Dinner some veggie and some meat maybe some nuts for a snack.
This gets pretty old but the reactions to the foods was pretty bad for awhile. When you can’t breathe you learn to stay away from them. As I get better I can eat carbs off and on. I still don’t get much energy from them though. I wonder if that will change?

if your not getting full try getting more protien and fat a bit less carbs. lots of carbs can stimulate the appatite
