Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - geometry of NYCBikes

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
okay okay, I know I know what everyone in this forum says. NYCbikes is crap. They're jerks and they have horrible customer service. They don't even ride to work and everything else bad one can say about a bike shop.
But, I'm wondering if anyone knows the geometry of their city fixed. If anyone knows, that be great to know.
Thank you all.

according to nycbikes.com
"...Traditional Track Bike flair comes back to the Cityfixed with a steep 74 degree seat tube and a short top tube..."
head tube's probably a little slack too, then. 72.5, maybe 73 degrees? someone around here has a detailed blueprint/geometry sheet, though, i remember. hopefully they'll post it for you.
I'm thinking more about the ct and tt length. But thanks heaps.

Yeah the frames are true track bikes. NOT slack geometry fixed bikes like some big names out there filling a void. My ex-girlfriend was looking a NYCcity fixed and she came up with a bike so tight it is ONLY track legal. I think she got a 47cm.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but that bike is just too fast for the street. I suggest you walk it to the nearest velodrome."
Yeah, I'm with r0cket on this one. Tell us more.

i wonder if that was the post of a drunken NYCbikes employee.
i think that there's about a bazillion reasons not to shop from them, already discussed. treat yourself to Tony at IRO instead.

On the website I clicked the sizes under the CityFixed frame and got a drawing for each one. 74 degrees in the seat-tube seems pretty steep to me, has anyone ridden one? I'm used to seeing fixed gear bikes with touring geometry like the Surly and the Iro's, not sprint stuff like that.

That's one of the silliest things I've heard all day. Thanks!
How is THIS ONLY Track Legal....From the NYCBIKES Site:
"We've lengthened the head tube for traffic view without stacks of spacers, and we kept some clearance for bigger tires and fenders"
Doesn't sound like ONLY TRACK LEGAL to me

I own and ride a NYC cityfixed everyday. This isnt my first fixed bike. I have/had IRO, Surly & conversions. Im really a fan of the lengthened head tube but have to say this bike dosnt make me "fly like the wind" or make me go any faster.. It rides smooth like my iro or surly. and i Have no problems with it.
Ive added some of my own stuff to it for a "personal" touch.
Here is a pick from when I was at the velodrome the other day. I still havnt cut down the fork yet. Guess I should do that tomorrow.
