well there are differnt sizes, thicknesses, and different valves. i think only snafu makes their own tubes, i mean i havent seen any other than bell, danscomp's, and snafu's choob tube.

So it was the same tubes that they sell at Walmart, probably made in the same factory, except in a box with your LBS' name on it?

my choobs lasted me five months.
Here we go again. Beerman, BMXTRIX, Snazz, - who makes the tubes? Is it Cheng Shin, or does IRC make tubes too?

It's probably Shim Sham.

I seem to remember there were only two major tube manufacturers, both in Asia, but I could be wrong about that. I think even like the Bontrager ultralight road tubes roll off the same factory line. Rubber is rubber, man. You're better off worrying about headset spacers.
I *do* wish I could get presta tubes in 20x1.75, schrader stems don't last long at 120psi.
If Torelli made BMX tubes, we'd all be set.

I'm still looking for a way to put sew-ups on my Quamen. :D
Glue on tires only belong on plastic bikes.
I must now go to work and send the world large blocks of 98.7% pure aluminium. I'd rather be home selling bike parts online, but the pay's not too bad. Oh well.

all i can say for innertubes is 1. I have the $hittyest luck for innner tubes so I had to start buying extra thick tubes more exspencive but lot cheaper in the long run.

Slime should not work - Most tubes pop because the tire is old and worn which easily allows thorns through or (more likely) you run 40PSI in the tubes or less instead of 60+ PSI which keeps you rolling smooth and helps to reject pinch flats and typical road crud.

some kid told me about these tubes that aren't round, they are straight. both ends are sealed so you can put a new tube in without taking the tire off

You can use a 1.5 tube in a wider tire like 1.85... maybe 2.1, but definitely the 1.85. I have used smaller tubes for years with no issues. One pop every couple of years... maybe. They do have 20x1.5" tubes available.

Dude, that's right! For recumbents; I keep trying to forget those stupid things exist. I'm running 1.85 tires on the flatland bike; those are the ones that keep popping. I'll look into it. :)

Wrong you are, m'boy! Go try putting 20x1 3/8 tubes in your tires.

Why not? I rigged up a 16 inch tub to fit into my 20".

That's not only dumb, it's irrelevant. Besides the fact that you're stressing the valve stem and the tube is going to blow up even *sooner*, 20x1 3/8 is larger in diameter than 20x1.75-2.10, not smaller. Try putting a 24 inch tube in your 20 inch tires, you'll see what I mean.

24 inch would be stupid it'd fold. And i didn't know it was larger. And the 16 inch tube lasted a day.

It's not even like you say stupid things without thinking. You actually take the time to type this stuff out without thinking?

I can type extremely fast so I'm a fast typing moron. Really Dangerous.
Finally, a boast we can all accept.

How about a nice heaping meal of go f u c k yourself?
CMcMahon

I don't think that f*ck is edible. Maybe if you picked out a ton of f, u, c, and k Alphabits and ate them for breakfast with milk it would work, though.

Thats a genious idea. i could start my own food empire. F U C K cereal. And F U C K soup.

That's as funny as people that spell "Grammar" wrong. It's a sure sign of immaturity when someone resorts to foul language. I guess not all of us are blessed with a varied and powerful vocabulary.

have u seen thenew fly " cobra tires"..ther bad ass....they are cut in half so its just one strait piece not a circle....so u can place them in your tire without taking off your wheel.....the air compression makes them push together so thers no gaps or flat spots.....great for on the go flates and have no tools!
