They are one of a few in hich the u.s. lawmaker's actually listen and act on, issues of a cyclists rights. They promote safety on roads especially when it comes to children. they are also big advvocates of the u.s. roadways and bridge systems being a benifit to cyclists. All in all protecting a cyclists rights to use the road and be safe is big with them. They do a good job. Although thr road projects they would like to see could use a big push. It is worth it.

I receive regular emails from them and will most likely join them next payday. Yes, money is tight. :(
From what I know about them they are a top notch organization working to secure cyclist's rights to the road and promoting other worthwhile cycling-related projects.

I currently belong to two local advocacy groups (Southern Bicycle League (http://www.bikesbl.org/) and Atlanta Bicycle Campaign (http://www.atlantabike.org/home.htm)). I am a huge bicycling advocate so joining the LAB (http://www.bikeleague.org/) is the next "logical" step.
