I took a look... great picture.

But I thought they only gave out one yellow jersey per race. I see lots of yellow jerseys. Are all those guys tied for the lead?

that's from a one day race, one of the spring classics. Pretty sure those are just team colors.

Here's one I took myself on the Champs Elysees victory lap.

I have that print, autographed by the man Graham Watson himself. For the record, that's the steepest part (20%... is that right?) of le Cote Saint-Roche, from the 1999 Liege-Bastogne-Liege. The yellow jerseys belong to ONCE and Mercatone Uno.

I can't not mention that Frank Vandenbroucke won L-B-L that year. :)

hi565, which sprint shot are you looking for? Watson will make a print of any of the current year's photos, I believe. The Boonen/McEwen/O'Grady sprint (http://grahamwatson.safeshopper.com/98/663.htm?528) from this year's TdF is available at Watson's site.

Laggard... do you know the story behind that series? It looks like a cyclist getting knocked down by a beemer -- during a race.

Jesper Skibby simply ran out of energy on the Kop. He fell over in front of the car and it nearly ran him over.

Thanks, Laggard. When I saw the original series, I thought the rider had been clipped by the chase vehicle. I wonder how often that happens? I know it’s not exactly the same thing, but the Ulrich’s training accident right before the TdF comes to mind. And Davis Phinney’s similar accident years ago.

Something about the culture of pro road racing that I don’t quite get: why they don’t recognize the danger of having the cars so close to the riders.

Don't forget Bugno's team car knocking down Lemond, 91 or 92 I believe!

Koppenburg. That's a great picture...'86 maybe?

This was the race leader, and this section is STEEP and cobbled. The car is the Race Director. That car should NEVER be where is was.

I'll second the Graham Watson suggestion. Here's a great one that would grace anyone's wall beautifully.

assuming you get it to span the entire wall.

. . . . and you really, really, really like Cipollini.
