one of the first few threads i looked at in this forum said something about "backtricking." it is kind of self explanitory.(you lay on your back and try and do what you would if you were actually riding.) it has not been great weather around here so i gave this a try, and wow. it is just rediculas. and it is pretty hard to do, i only tried it for like five minutes and than said, ah forget it. i tried a simple x-up and the bike like fell over to the right. it isnt like actual riding at all.

does anyone ACTUALLY do this.

i used to use that as a way to stretch my left calf ( i ride right foot forward, so left leg is lazy) the heavier your bike is, the more of a workout you'll get.

Is that a method for practicing balance for your tircks? I remember reading in a ridebmx they suggested to use a bike frame, fork, and bars on a trampoline. I tried it and it really did help my balance in the air. They acalled it air awareness or the way you balance when you are in the air when you are doing your tricks.

the way i see it, if you can do a trick with good enough balance to do it on your back wthout tipping over, you can do it in the air (granted you have enough height or whatever)
