General Cycling Discussion - My name is . . . and I'm an Addict

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Ok, it goes something like this:
I love bike porn, I pore over the latest
catalogues from Colorado Cyclist, Excel, World Cycling,
Nashbar etc.
I frequent way too many cycling relate web sites
I'm constantly hanging out at the LBS drooling
over some new techno bit, or bike.
But the worst is e-buy. I have like 5 saddles
(and I'm looking at another), an assortment of
stems and bars (well mostly stems) and
I Can't stop. I look at vintage colnago's,
all serotta's, rims, tires, tools. . .
Am I a very sick puppy?

Marty

Wow, at leaset you've made it through the first step. Admitting that you have a problem. Denial is the worst. I'm not an addict myself (see what I mean?). :p

I can give up cycling anytime I want to...uhm...err...uh...It's just that I don't want to, but I could if I did want to, really, it wouldn't be a problem!

threadend begins to sweat profusely and shake uncontrolably

Heck, I've quit thousands of times before and I could do it again, what's that? you say I can't? You dare me to quit this second, okay your on! Oh shoot, I just remembered, I can't quit this week because...uh...uh...uh...my walking shoes are being resoled, yeah, that's it, and I won't get them back until mid August at the earliest, so I have to ride until at least then, but if it weren't for that I'd show you.......

Lotek -

I thought you would spot this! I saw you over there and remembered the domain name. (I used to work for a division of CSC in the distant past. I was originally interviewed by Van Honeycutt whose name may ring a bell with you.)

Yeah, you're right. I couldn't believe it when he posted his "partial" list!!!!

Steve,

I've been on Serotta board since before Kahuna built
the current board. It somehow seemed a little friendlier
before all those calfee pukes started jumping in
I really like Bigmac's posts, as well as dbrk.
Its really funny to see what mavic1010 is selling/buying
this week.
I sign in as Marty but have used other names in past.
BTW as for the post, I just got Brooks saddle, guess
where I got that idea?
