Mountain Biking - Cranks

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Ok I've been considering a few things. Getting a new bike or upgrading mine. I have Sugino cranks now and I'm considering Truvativ. What do you guys think of there cranks and what would be another good brand to check out?
Thanks,
Forced

Hussefelts are extremely strong when mated with the right bb (eg a fsa platinum or a gigabyte or similar. Be wary of ISIS cranks and bb's as some people have problems with the bearings.
Shimanos splined system is very goog, the XT range is excellent for XC, the saints for hardcore freeride, and the hone cranks are a good all round set.

I would say Raceface if you are willing to spend the extra cash, but Truvativ Hussefelt's are also very strong.

I can certainly attest to that. I have my Hussefelts mated to a GiGapipe Team DH BB and they've held up to everything I've thrown at them. They are by far the stiffest cranks (laterally) that I've ever ridden and they just give a feeling of SOLID confidence which to me is a great thing.
