From the Shimano-europe web page:
During the current running test-camp for the new XTR, that is taking place in Kaprun Austria on the track of the 2002 MTB Worldchampionships, one of the 6 prototype test-bikes was stolen. The bike has a white frame just with an XTR logo and is equipped with a full 2003 model XTR-set. As you can imagine this hand-prepared prototype is really expensive .................... but on the other side we don't expect the thief to become very happy with it, as the bike is very easily recognisable and the prototype components are made for functional testing, but not for a long-time durability.
