So after looking for powdered Gatorade at just about every supermarket and not finding any, I decided to give this Accelerade a shot. Ewwwwww. This stuff is disgusting. I got the lemon lime and honestly it tastes like salty medicine water. It seems to help hydrate but I'll be damned if I actually WANT to drink it.

looks like you guys get the stuff with less artificial additives, unless this only relates to Gatorade Endurance

The Gatorade powder in our supermarkets contains "so-called" nasties

I also just found an alarmist, yet alarming article about Aus additives

I guess I got used to the taste. It's much better than the stomach distress that Powerade gave me yesterday. I deserved it though, cause I knew better.

The Orange flavor is not too bad, kind of like an orange creamsicle. I concur on the lemon-lime, though...I do not like it nearly as much. I would pick up the Orange again, though.

Also now that we're into the hotter season I find the "mouth feel" of Accelerade to be a bit heavy. It was great in spring time but now it's just a little too thick going down.

I just picked up a tub of Cytomax and it's not too bad, though there is a bit of a lingering aftertaste. Not an unpleasant one, but it's not exactly a clean finish.

Cleanest I've tried was PowerBar Endurance but I kinda got tired of it.

I agree about the taste of the Orange Accelerade - it doesn't taste too bad to me. Also, my body seems to tolerate it better than gatorade.

You can mix your own version at home. http://www.davidhays.net/running/sportsdrink.html

Granted, there's no killer name brand to sport, but they'll do the same job, and it's quite a bit cheaper. As an added bonus, if you're down with the kool aide, there's many more choices when it comes to flavor selection.

I personally skip the added flavor.

Orange huh? I'll have to give that a try. Thanks!

I just tried Endurox Fruit Punch for the first time this morning - not too bad, no/little aftertaste.

I like the orange cytomax. Use polar bottles half filled with ice and it gives me just the right consistency, refreshingly cold/cool, and reduces the after taste. Only down side is an orange interior of the bottle.

Yeah, what is up with that? It only takes like one or two bottles full to get quite a stain in there. I suppose this means we'll be hearing from the Artificial Dye Police soon. See ya.

I like the blue rasperry Accelerade. It is very tangy if you mix it full strength so I mix about 3/4.
