No clue. Go to the C.E. reeeeeeeeeally early in the morning (like 7AM) and camp-out. Find out which nearby stores have bathrooms and you're all set. (been there, done that, bought the t-shirt (for once that's actually a fact))

thanks dude, I am just wondering how close it passes by my hotel... but I will probly get to the CE at about 6 or 7. Is that early enough to get a good spot?

Grab a good detailed map of paris like a Michelin (they should have those in London right?), and print out the detailed Itinerary from lelour.fr for the stage. With that and a map, you can figure out the route pretty good. I've done that a few times no problem. It gets a little complicated in the close suburbs.

If you want the streets in the city limits that lead up to the circuit they ride, get there real early and go for a walk up la rue de rivoli. The cops are usually out and the route should be marked and it's pretty easy to figure out how they are going to enter paris.

I think 6 is a little early, but you never know. I'm pretty sure both times I got there a little after 7 and was able to get a great spot. PM me if you want more info, strategy for the day, etc.

6 or 7 is plenty early in my experience. The choice spots seems to be along the wall of the Jardin des Tuilleries or near the finish line of course....

I was just wondering, because the route is the same for the laps of paris every year, what streets it follows (e.g. it has a broad turn around that water fountain before going up the CE) and I thought there would be a mp somewhere. If anyone has been there before and can remember where they stood on the route or what streets it might go up thatd be a great help

It comes into Paris, and up la rue de rivoli->place de la concorde->skirts one foutains, up the CE and back down, skirts the opposite fountain in the place de la concorde, down the Voie George Pompidoui, under the tunnel to the other side of rivoli, repeat....

Check out this map and zoom in and scroll to the left....

BTW, I don't think you can get a spot on the Pl. de la Concorde (having been unceremoniously asked by a gendarme to leave ...).

Take PICS and post here when you are done or prepare for BANNAGE from teh forum. :D
