Bicycle Mechanics - How much to build up my frameset?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Alright, a lot of you know about my situation with my Bianchi Talladaga and the size being to small 53 for my 5'10 size. Well I might be getting the same frameset in 55 leaving me with this great frame and fork. My question is this: my wife is 5'7 alittle over that be a pinch. Im thinking, maybe I should hold onto the Talladega 53 with the carbon fork, headset and seat post. How much would it cost me to get the rest built up for her. Maybe 105 components, rims, stem, saddle? Is it worth it - she will ride it. However, after buying the other frameset, Im not to interested in burning up a ton more cash.

depends on how you want to shop. If you walk into the LBS and have them build it for you, you get the benefit of friendly service and advice, but if you buy all your parts from eBay or mail order you can save a significant amount.
I have seen 105 groups on eBay for 370-400. Add a couple hundred maybe for a decent wheelset, bars, and whatever else you need. :)
www.excelsports.com sells a 105 build kit for $857 and that includes everyting to build a bike including wheels. 9 speed veloce goes for$779.Careful shopping can beat that.
