Have joined the forum for some help. Have passed a Raleigh Arena from the cobwebs of garage in Liverpool to family wannabe London commuter who needs to start riding to work due to unsocial hours and tube distractions. However, the bike needs new tyres, brakes and only God and a good bike mechanic might know what else. So far the bike shop response in Stoke Newington, N16, is 'It'll cost over £80. Dump it and buy a new mountain bike from me for £90.' Anybody got any suggestions as to how to get this bike rejuvenated and back on the road, or is the 'man in N16' talking sense?
