Does a BMX lockring like the one pictured below losen to the right like a fixed gear or left lile a casette?
Also, any tips for removing a stuck one other then with a blowtorch or a vice because I have neither.

To tighten turn clockwise, to remove counter-clockwise. Try liquid wrench and a cheater bar.
only the lockring on a fixie is reverse/left hand threaded.
so go ahead it comes off as a cassette.
if its stuck i would not start to destroy the tool and the freewheel with tool slippage ..not to mention your hands.
buy a cake and a soda go to a lbs and barter for use of their vice. if you bring the the tool most shops should help. or else its not a shop you want to be in anyway..good luck

Also try using an axle bolt with a washer to hold on the removal tool on. That way you can get more power to the wrench.
Use the axle nut to hold the tool in place.
Use a long spanner.
Wedge the wheel into an internal corner of a wall and jump up and down on the spanner.
