Training & Nutrition - Can someone help me plan with nutrition planning?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Okay heres the deal. I'm 23, 275lbs (down from 310 or so) with mild hypertension (i'm on 150mg avapro). I started riding a month ago. I work almost full time and go to school.
I need some help planning a weekly menu that I can somewhat stick to. I'm always on the go and need some no nonsense ways increase the number of meals I eat in a day. AND some food choices for when I go to resturants etc.
I'm totally willing to put the work in on the bike, but now I need to get my body and mind involved as well.
You are asking us to do the job of a dietitian. It is much better for you to take your exercise program over to a dietitian and let them do a metabolic test on you to see what your resting metabolic rate is, then determine a solid eating plan for you that will help you achieve your fitness goals.

oh. I'm sorry, I didn't realize that it required that. What exactly is a metabolic test and what does it involve?
A metabolic test measures your metabolism at rest. Pretty much you breathe into a mechanism that calculates out what your metabolic rate is- it's pretty easy. The dietitian can interpret the data to tell you how many calories you burn at rest, and based on that information and the information on how many calories you need for exercise, plus your fitness goals, they can put together an optimal eating plan for you.

third it. Read the reviews on Amazon, and see what you think. I've been doing it for only 2 weeks, but I dropped 5 pounds, and did a 54 mile ride on Saturday, with more energy than usual.
