Hi Nat,
I lived all but the last 4 years of my life in Memphis but I live in Canada now. All my family is in Memphis.
Cycling is much easier around here than around Memphis, but I am more into road touring than anything... and you know those Memphis drivers!

Oh god...Memphis drivers... And the stuffy heat!! I used to live in Canada! Montreal, actually. My dad is from there and his family are all still there. I love that place.

I used to be into mountain biking but haven't ridden in a while. Hopefully, I'm going to get a road bike soon and get started with that.

Whoops. Never responded, did I? I like riding trails best so far. But distance is cool. Don't have a road bike yet. Can't decide wether to get a new mtb or a road bike and keep the mtb I've got. For now I'm just switching tires back and forth!

Hey Nat.
I ride in Memphis. We ride on Tue's From Watkins on a 30mile loop after work. Thur's from Bartlett on a 30mile loop. And on Sat's leave from Bartlett for a 77 mile loop. Sometimes Sunday's at noon for a recovery ride. We've been getting ready for the Upcomming century rides. Texas Hotter than Hell(8-24), Clarksville TN (8-31), Memphis Fall Century(9-14) www.memphishightailers.com, MS150 from Graceland to Tunica (9-22), then to finish Cape Girardeau MO Century(10-5).
This summer has been fun. We usually are pretty wiped out on the Saturday rides with the Memphis heat, and we usually avg between 18-18.5 on the Long rides, and 19-20 on the 30mile loops. It's been amazing how much we have improved. Several of us just started riding last year about this time.
See ya out there sometime maybe.

I've been riding with the Hightailers on Saturday mornings...well okay, I did for 4 weeks then started rehearsals, etc, for a show I had this weekend. I won't be riding with the Hightailers for another two weeks or so. But YEAH! I'll be there...eventually :)

There are a lot of people riding training for the MS150 on 9/22. Some of our group did our last Long Sat. Ride for a while. We have scheduled Century rides about every weekend for the next month or so.
