We had a lot of rain this evening. I had to get to and from a couple places in this down pour. The streets were filled with water, at least six inches to a foot in places. Storm drains over flowing, and the storm run off lines beneathe the streets were so full of water man hole covers were boiling(I've never seen that) and a couple of the manhole covers lay upside down in the street.
In a way it was a baptism in more than one way, cause I was out in it with my fixie(I love this bike). More than once a wall of water was sent my way as some nut in an SUV passed my in a puddle. So I learned to control a bike in some extreme weather, and how to just keep going. Yeah, I was soaked, when I pulled off the goretex there was water pooled up in it too.
Sorry for those in the drought, but some times it's fun to grip about having fun too! Of course it wasn't until I got to work that I learned there had been a tornado watch. Oh well...
