I live in San Diego, where I ride my bike to commute to work - 30 miles a day.
I also try and put in a long ride on the weekend.
I ride a Trek UAV1. No one knows this bike. I think Trek made it for a couple of years in the mid 90's.
UAV is acronym for Urban Assault Vehicle - hybrid bike. I've put skinny tires, rack, fenders and flat bar on it to make it faster and a 5 day a week commuter.
But, I'm looking for a new bike to supplement/replace the Trek. Thinking more like a cyclocross that might be a bit faster. It is hard to find much here outside of "toys" - racers without mounts for things, or mountain bikes.
