I saw a used bike at a yard sale yesterday. It was in great shape. All I can really say about it is that it had 10 or 12 gears, shifters on the top tube and a badge with "Mark 2" on the head tube. I couldn't find any other identification on it other than the "Shimano" stamped into the shifter levers. Can anyone enlighten me on what I may have been looking at?

That is pretty slim for a description. In a vacuum, Raleigh Super Course Mark II had similar markings on the top tube...

I came across something on the web referring to a Murray Mark 2???? I understand that that may not be much of a find. The Raleigh you speak of, would it be a worthy purchase?

By the way, the "Mark 2" badge that I referred to was on the front of the head tube, if that matters. What else should I be looking for?
