show on USA. On the advice of someone on bikeforums (can't remember who), I watched an episode. Now I'm hooked. This obsessive-compulsive clean freak is so funny... I can't help it, I have to laugh. Thank goodness- I don't have BBC anymore, and BBC was the source of all my comedy television. :( But this show is completely funny, and they'll have a serious moment one second, then the next second, something funny happens, and you're totally laughing.

In case anyone wants to watch it, the show is called "Monk", and it comes on the USA television station on Fridays at 10pm Eastern Standard Time.

Monk is great. Ive been watching for the past 2 seasons and catching the reruns of the ones I've missed.
Tony Shaloub has won an emmy for the role and hes up for another one. His brother is played by John Tuturo and I missed last weeks episode with him on it. I usually forget that its on Friday night at 9:00 central and I'm lucky enough they replay at 11:00 central. The new season just started 2 weeks ago.

Anal would be an understatement when it comes to Monk. I thought I was anal, I'm laid back compared to him. Hes hilarious and a deductive genius. Hes "The Monk" an episode when he took pills to overcome the OCD. :roflmao:

Bittty Shram will be missed but I like Taylor as a replacement.

Yeah, I love this show. Very well balanced, imho. I watched an episode the other day and was like, "What's she(Traylor Howard) doing on there?", but I think she does a good job. I really like Shalhoub, but I think my favorite character is Capt. Stottlemeyer(Ted Levine, aka "Buffalo Bill" from Silence of the Lambs). Very enjoyable cast overall, actually. Hmm, I really should start recording it....

I used to watch it all the time here in Australia, it was really good. They seem to not show it anymore, so in other words its probably axed. :( Hopefully they bring it back.

I love this show too. I don't always get to watch it but I love what I do get to watch and I keep meaning to buy the dvd set of the first season.

That's why I'm so glad I have Tivo- so even if I'm preoccupied or not home, it gets taped... and if it shows up at special times, Tivo will tape that too. :)

Well, you said it, not me. ;)

Seriously, you are really missing a good season. I haven't laughed this hard watching a television show in a while. It's especially nice to have Monk on since they're running reruns all summer.

I like the new girl Taylor. She was awful on Two Guys and a Pizza (well so was everyone else) but pretty good here. The backstory is a good one and keeps the charaters humilty in check. My favorite one is the one with his real life wife Brooke Adams and Gary Marshall. The one where he had to fly.

It just seems to get funnier and funnier every week. Last week's was hilarious- trying to fit in with "the gang". Not wanting to wear the shoes. Etc. I can't wait for this week's.
