No useful information here, except that nowhere in the article does it say that he hit the single (meaning one each) 64 year old cyclist, it says he was involved in a collision. I had a guy on a bike run into the side of my car while I was at a dead stop at a red light. I'm sure that would have been reported here as me having hit a cyclist too. Move along.

Isn't that the same son that is going to work for the Republican Party?

He should get along well with his right-wing, bicyclist assulting buddies down Mass Ave... http://www.infoshop.org/inews/article.php?story=20050703093653154

Yeah. Hopefully he isn't signed on to do the same job as a left wing intern.

... nowhere in the article does it say that he hit ... cyclist...

In this British newspaper they use the wording "crashes into bike":

BLAIR SON CRASHES INTO BIKE

Jul 23 2005

TONY BLAIR'S son Euan knocked down an elderly cyclist as he drove to his university graduation, it was revealed yesterday.

Euan, 21, was questioned by police and breathalysed after the accident in Cheltenham on Monday.

The 64-year-old man he had hit was shaken and had minor cuts and bruises.

The breath test was negative and Euan was able to continue to his graduation ceremony at Bristol University, which was attended by the Prime Minister and wife Cherie.

Ancient history graduate Euan, who was once famously found drunk in the West End of London by police, was unhurt.

He is about to go to Washington to work as an intern in the US Congress

The Great Twahl has ruled. Case closed.

The second article presents a different perspective. The first one posted, and all that was available that day, gave absolutely no indication that Blair was at fault, only that a collision had occured. As usual in this forum, it was presented that the motorist was at fault, then further degraded by bringing up that he was going to intern for the Republican party, as if that was a factor in the accident.

Now it appears that further investigation reveals that he was in fact at fault, but that was not indicated originally, thus my comments.
