Kona directly should be able to help you or any shop that sells konas should be able to tell you which hanger, and then you can order it from kona's website store. I think they're 15bucks or so.

Ok, the cowan requires the replacement of the drop outs in order to replace the hanger. Just order them from kona.

The konas have different hangers. That won't work. As for the cowan, yes I do believe you have to replace the dropouts. I think it costs more than the hangers. Ah well, at least you can get new drop outs if they break....:S.

Dumb question but why do more people not buy an extra derailleur hanger when they buy a new bike? To me it's one of those "I'd rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it" things.

if it's his ebay shop, he probably wants one so he could use it as a template to cnc some and sell them.

I think that eBay seller is located in Israel. I came across his listing too so I'm not sure if Texas9 is from Israel. In any case the prices are okay ($9 + 4.50 shipping = $13.50 USD) compared to paying the typical $20 USD from the LBS but this is one of those things that you should just buy from your LBS. It's not super expensive, it's tremendous insurance if you're out on the trail and you are supporting your LBS. Besides, if you need it NOW are you going to bother with the $6.50 savings while waiting for the package to come all the way from Israel?

As for compatibility for the Konas, you can find this information out from Konaworld.com:

First, I'm a she and not a he :-) I know that's not very common here....
Second, Kona couldn't tell me where can I get it and I couldn't find it in the dealer's stores. I think it's way more expenssive than the normal hanger, but I can't find it anywhere
so, if anyone actually finds the dealer and price - please let me know
in any case thanks for the links, but that kona hanger is the H type and I need the XC kit
