I am very pleased with what I saw this year...

Lance - as usual, I love his domination.
Basso - No.2 - next in line; hehehe... I'm happy with him
Boonen - 2 stage wins, WOOT WOOT!
Voigt - Happy he got to wear the Maillot for a day - sad he couldn't finish
Leipheimer - Happy he's in the top 10.

DZ--Happy with my stage 1 prediction but disappointed that he didnt finish.. He could have made a statement..
Basso--Showed enough to keep hopes up for next year but todays TT has me a bit puzzled..
Jan--I dont think he can beat Basso next year but of he prepares solid, its going to be nice.
Boonen--Mix bag with the wins and retirement..
Voight--I was hoping for a long break away and a stage win... Never did happen..

Ditto on Lance and Voigt.

I was happy to see Ullrich back to the podium. I mean, he gets a bad rap, but if he podiums next year, he'll tie poulidor for most times on the podium, and he's won the dang thing!

Very pleased with Hincapie.

Sad to not see much from Azevedo this year.

I had hoped for something from Magnus Backstedt, too.

Jullich had a pretty solid ride too, for a guy who was pretty much retired.

Jorg Jaksche was solid. He and Voigt were a great pair when together, always attacking.

Lance - as usual, pure domination, mental and physical.
Floyd - did well for his first time as a team co-leader.
Valverde - hugely impressed, despite not finishing this kid has a bright future.
Basso - getting stronger every year, a future 2-3 time TdF winner... And, he'll win at least one Giro too before he retires.
Cunego - disappointed, wanted to see him at his first TdF... Not his fault though, maybe next year.

Yeah, overall really happy.

Lance in 1st .. 5 Americans in the top 20!!! Am I the only one who thinks this is significant? Of course, everyone reports how Lance did, but what about Bobby, George, Levi, and Floyd?

It was too bad about David Z. But he'll be back. It was probably just inexperience on his part. And let's hear it for Chris Horner!!!

The only thing im pissed about with boonen is that he crashed and had to leave! I love that guy, it sucks because he would've dominated the sprinters jersey!

To me the highlight of the Tour was Levi's 5th place. All year long Landis was getting the attention and in every head to head contest Levi showed him his wheels. Floyd had a better team than Levi and still Levi beat him in Georga the Daulphine and the Tour.

The most heartbreaking moment was the final TT and "The Chicken's" complete unraviling. Mickael Rassmussen's ride in the Tour was awesome until then. It was nice to finally have a KoM that could actually climb but the pressure to hold off Jan was too great and he really cracked.

Most telling moment was when Vino attacked on stage 9 and Jan pulled LA back to his wheel. Nothing says "this team is totally split" more than that move.

Vino planned to ride his own race all year. The split started in the press months ago.

I agree. He would have done real well.

Basso - My favorite rider in the peleton looked great this year. Moving up to 2nd in the overall classification is no small feat, especially after having ridden the Giro. I expect big things from Ivan in the next few years including the highly coveted double Giro/Tour victories.

George Hincapie - What more can you say really? A stage win from George was so unexpected but so amazing! I got a diamond in my eye when I saw his joy as he crossed the line. No one deserves a stage win more.

Il Falco - Savoldelli provided another great and surprising victory. Way to go Paolo!

Boonen - Tom had a great winning streak at the beginning of the race and I was really sad to see him abandon. He had such a great Spring season and it's really a shame that he missed out in this year's Points competition.

Armstrong - For the sake of the sport I am glad to see Armstrong go. The Tour will be much more competitive and interesting to watch next year. I am very happy to see him going out at the top of his game and can't believe he won his 7th Tour so efficiently. What a monster.
