I have a chance to buy a new Ti road frame with a 1" headtube. It seems most headtubes these days are 11/8". Will a 1" headtube pose any problems for me in the future? Thanks for the help.

It will currently limit your fork selection. But who knows what will be back in the future.

I wouldn't be too concerned. 1" will be around for a long time. Since it has been the standard for decades you will never lack for options. If you go threadless, you can always use a 1 1/8" stem with a 1" steerer using a shim. Most of the better 1 1/8" stems come with the shim for that reason.
