Mountain Biking - Beer Bike

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I found this on eBay -- NIB for $175. It's a Trek 3500 mountain bike that is custom painted Heineken green with the Heineken logo. A number of these bikes were raffled off by Heineken with the proceeds going to charity.
The winner of the bike is an older gentlemen who can't ride it due to health reasons. He put it up for sale on eBay and I bought it. I drove out to Buck County, Pennsylvania this morning to pick it up.
So what do you think of my "beer bike"?

Can't see the images, but it sounds great!
Sweet.
Looks like the perfect bike to use to ride to the store to buy more Heineken.

As far as a collector piece. AWESOME!
As far as a decent mountain bike. I'll pass!
Nice paint job though.
Now to find a NEWCASTLE BROWN ALE painted bike.
I have a funny story that is similar, Budweiser did something like that in 1995 and somebody I ended up meeting in the military won it. He did not ride so eventually he sold it to me. It was a Cannondale, I believe the m400 (?). It is kind of a hybrid with a heavier slant toward mtb. It is the bike that rekindled my interest in bicycles. It is Red and Blue faded paint job and it says Bud Light on the top tube where yours says heineken. I still have it out back in my tool shed, maybe tommorow I will dig it out and take some pics to post.

That is one fancy looking water pipe!
Here is my beer bike, it has pretty low end components but as I said it is the bike that rekindled my desire to ride, and remember it is over ten years old. Cannondale frames are so nice that I have kept it around hoping to do something with it, maybe make it a fun bike to ride on the roads and such, who knows, but for now it just lies in wait in my shed

I am jealous. The bikes that Cruentes and Skinn have would make awesome SS bikes. Just the other day at the LBS, I saw a folding MTB with a Marlboro head badge. Someone a few months ago had a cheesy FS all done up as a Dr. Pepper bike.
Almost done building a Surly 1x1. Last things is to build up the rear wheel with an SS bolt on hub, and to get affix my "custom" headbadge. Its from a anniversary Lone Star Beer can, the old skool logo.

I have no intention of riding it off-road.
Now to find a NEWCASTLE BROWN ALE painted bike.I'll trade the Heineken bike for a Guinness bike.

Joel, I doubt that a lot of people on this forum have heard of Yeungling. I never realised until recently how local of a beer it was, it seems like anyone out of the area has no idea what it is but everyone seems to like it.

Yeah, sadly it is a very local beer. But it can be had in new york, and florida, and a few other states down south I believe. When I lived In Massachusets it was torture though.

It's bigger than you think. We've had it down here in NC for a couple years now.
I first had it in PA ten or 12 years ago, back when I thought lagers tasted good.

How about a Falls City bike, or Oertle's 92, or Fehr's, or Sterling, or, God forbid, Iron City?
