about two weeks ago i wrecked my frame and just picked one of these up on ebay
i did a thread search and couldnt find much useful information or feedback from people that own one
i like having the ability to set it up as a commuter maybe even light touring frame but beyond that i dont know much about it

does anybody here own one? what do you think, likes dislikes?

Matthew Grimm, the person behind Kogswell posts here, as, well, "Kogswell". As far as I can tell, they are sturdy solid frames that you can use for a wide range of applications, and is yes, ideally suited for a commuter or a light tourer. A good choice.

mr grimm sent me a nice model d that i am currently deciding on.

so far, i like it.

people who have kogswells are very happy with them. you will be too.

i currently have the hots for one but think i am going to wait until a) they make a 56cm model and b) i have some money saved up.

for me it is perfect--all the benefits of a road/touring frame (geometry, eyelets) with track ends providing a more sensible way to manage chain tension.

People have been telling me for years to come over here and participate. I'm glad I have.

And whoever said nice things about the KOG (owners group) is exactly right. That group was started and is run by a collection of hard cores; the kind of wrench, ride, rinse and repeat serious cyclist that's fun to associate with.

matthew, what is the standover height like on a 58cm G? I am really considering one, but the 58 just seems big to me.
