Question for everyone, I've had my new Fisher Tassajara a little over a week and love it so far. It came stock with the Rock Shox Pilot XC fork, and when reading the manual from Rock Shox, it says to use a "shock pump" if I want to change the amount of sag by adding air to the shocks. I don't know what pressure the factory sends them out with, but since I weigh 186 pounds I think I might want to put between 10-15 psi for the recommended weight that i'm at. My question is can I just use a typical bike pump to increase the level, or do I have to use a "shock pump".The fork uses a regular shrader valve, and since I have a very acuurate tire gauge I was hoping I could just use my pump to increase the level. Am I o.k. to use the tire pump or will I damage the fork unless I use the recommended "shock pump"???? Anybody know???

I'd be very careful putting air in with a full size pump. Even with my shock pump, one pump puts several pounds in the forks. And it's a tiny pump. If you do use it, I wouldn't even put one full pump into it before checking the pressure.

I think about 25-30 bucks. Check at Pricepoint, Performancebike, Nashbar, Supergo and see what kind of prices they have. Good Luck!
Here's a link to Pricepoints page of shock pumps.
